Tarlac State University (TSU) and Laguna State Polytechnic University - San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC), through the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL) and College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), officially inked their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing, held at Gabriella Hall, TSU Hotel, Villa Lucinda Campus, October 22, 2025.
Representing the University in the said signing were TSU President Arnold E. Velasco, who joined virtually; Dr. Brendalyn A. Manzano, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CASS); Dr. Roel R. Alviar, Dean of CCJE; Alvincent E. Danganan, DIT, Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS); Dr. Grace N. Rosete, Director of OIAL, CCJE faculty members, and OIAL heads and staff.
Joining the visit were members of the LSPU-SPCC delegation, namely Joel M. Bawica, MIT, San Pablo City Campus Director; Dr. Marlon M. Wankey, Dean of CCJE; Ronnel A. Dela Cruz, MIT, Associate Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS); Dr. Julifie D. Panoy, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Science (CAS); and Dr. Desserie L. Wagan, Associate Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA).
Prior to the MOA signing, an exploratory meeting was held between the LSPU-SPCC delegation and some CCJE faculty members and staff, during which they discussed potential areas of collaboration, including initiatives in student development programs, training, and research. The dialogue opened doors for future partnerships directly aimed at enhancing the academic quality and experience of criminal justice students.
Under the MOA, both universities are set to partner on various initiatives and programs including joint conferences and seminars, research collaborations, faculty and student exchanges, and internship opportunities.
The partnership represents a significant milestone for both TSU and LSPU-SPCC as they continue to establish collaborative relationships and academic excellence, thereby advancing the vision of research-oriented and globally competitive higher education institutions.
