Tarlac State University (TSU) welcomed the delegation of the Australian Institute of Engineering (AIE) ON January 21, 2026, at TSU Main AVR, marking a significant step in continuing international academic collaboration, with the College of Engineering (COE) serving as the primary beneficiary and partner college of the initiative.
The visit brought together TSU officials, faculty members, and representatives from AIE for a formal program and dialogue centered on the way forward activities of both institutions. The AIE delegation was composed of Mr. Sam Tyagi, Mr. Akshit Tyagi, Ms. Perla Espina, Ms. Lydia John, Ms. Gina Awa, and Ms. Juliana Awa.
In his message, TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco emphasized the importance of the university’s partnership with AIE. “This goes beyond formal discussion, it is an opportunity to build lasting partnerships and open doors for our students to thrive in a global professional environment”, he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sam Tyagi, CEO of AIE, highlighted the institution’s mission to support students. Noting that the goal is to help and navigate TSU students in their career and give them the right skills and opportunities they need to succeed and compete globally.
Following the program, representatives from both institutions convened for an open discussion, exchanging insights and exploring other areas of collaboration. As a result of the meeting, TSU and AIE are set to conduct an international webinar in February, opening more opportunities for faculty and students, particularly from the College of Engineering.
