Tarlac State University (TSU), through the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL), shared its best practices on the Complementary Pathways (CPATH) Program during a virtual discussion with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) on April 10, 2025.

Dr. Grace N. Rosete, Director of TSU-OIAL, presented the university’s CPATH Program in the session organized by WUSC—a non-profit organization committed to improving education, economic opportunities, and the empowerment of young people worldwide. The meeting was attended by WUSC Program Manager Mr. Warsame J. Warsame.

During the presentation, Dr. Rosete shared the journey of TSU’s three CPATH scholars, highlighting the university’s preparation prior to their arrival in the Philippines, the ongoing support provided in collaboration with local government units, and the scholars’ future employment opportunities.

“It is fascinating to hear the stories shared by TSU about their CPATH scholars. It is very warm of TSU to embrace these children as their family. And considering that CPATH Programs in the Philippines are still very young, TSU’s implementation is well-organized and commendable,” said Mr. Warsame.

WUSC has scheduled a series of discussions with other CPATH-implementing universities in the country from April to May and is planning a visit to the Philippines to personally meet the scholars and program implementers.
