Tarlac State University (TSU) strengthened its commitment to academic collaboration and institutional partnership through the ceremonial signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with seven higher education institutions in the country held on October 1 and 2 as part of the two-day celebration of the investiture of Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza as the 7th President of Tarlac State University.
The ceremonial signing took place on October 1 at the TSU Lucinda Campus and continued on October 2 at the Bulwagan, Diwa ng Tarlac, bringing together the presidents and representatives of the participating State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).
The seven partner institutions are the Philippine Normal University (PNU), Isabela State University (ISU), Tawi-Tawi Regional Agricultural College (TRAC), Catanduanes State University (CatSU), Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), Caraga State University (CSU), and Agusan State University (AgSU).
The MOUs establish a framework for institutional cooperation and collaboration in various areas, particularly research and development, faculty exchange, academic initiatives, and other collaborative programs and activities that may be jointly pursued by the institutions in the future.
The agreements are expected to provide opportunities for faculty members, researchers, and academic communities to engage in knowledge sharing, collaborative research, professional development, and other initiatives that can contribute to the advancement of higher education.
Representing the participating institutions were their respective SUC presidents, who joined Dr. Mendoza in the ceremonial signing of the agreements, symbolizing their shared commitment to strengthening inter-institutional partnerships.
The MOU signing formed part of the activities celebrating Dr. Mendoza’s assumption as the university’s seventh president, highlighting the importance of collaboration and collective action in advancing TSU’s academic and institutional aspirations.
Through these partnerships, TSU continues to expand its network of academic collaborators and strengthen its role in promoting meaningful cooperation among Philippine higher education institutions.
The partnerships likewise reflect a shared vision among the participating institutions to create more opportunities for their academic communities and contribute to the continued development of higher education in the country.
