BackThe Tarlac State University (TSU) Rohingya Scholars, beneficiaries of the UNHCR and TSU Complementary Pathways Program, received aid during the visit of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Tarlac to TSU on February 7, 2025.
As part of its continued efforts to support the Rohingya Scholars, the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL) collaborates with various government agencies to address their needs. In line with this initiative, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the government agency responsible for implementing social welfare programs in Tarlac, led by its head, Ms. Ma. Elena L. Jalos, distributed food packs, clothing, and hygiene kits to three Rohingya scholars currently studying at TSU.
During the visit, Ms. Jalos also expressed interest in establishing a collaboration with TSU to ensure continued assistance and support for the scholars.
