Tarlac State University (TSU) Rohingya scholars, along with delegates from the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL) and the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), participated in the three-day 2nd National CPath (Complementary Pathways) Gathering organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at Saint Louis University in Baguio City from January 7 to 10, 2025.
This year’s event focused on strengthening networks among institutions across the country that support Rohingya youth by providing educational assistance, scholarship grants, and accommodations. The gathering also served as an opportunity for Rohingya scholars to connect with fellow students nationwide. For participating institutions, it was a platform to share their experiences supporting scholars and learning from each other's best practices.
The event concluded on January 10, with UNHCR emphasizing the primary objective of this engagement: creating pathways to a brighter, more inclusive future where no one is left behind.
TSU delegates who attended the gathering included OIA Head Prof. Maria Tiara Fatima F. Galang, staff members Ms. Mely Rose D. Bautista and Mr. Cedrick B. Malicdem, and OSAS Guidance Counselor Mr. Allan S. Santos.
