Tarlac State University (TSU) officially solidified its partnership with the Wadhwani Operating Foundation (WOF) through a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held virtually, 8 July.

The event was made possible through the efforts of the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL) in collaboration with the College of Engineering (COE), the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), and the College of Education (CoEd).

Commencing the virtual event, Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, Vice President for Academic Affairs, officially welcomed the distinguished guests and officials from TSU and WOF. In her message, she reiterated the event's significance in advancing the skills and knowledge of the faculty members – especially in technopreneurship.

Afterwards, Dr. Grace N. Rosete, Director of OIAL, introduced the officials from TSU and extended her heartfelt appreciation to WOF for their coordination in upskilling the TSU community in areas such as employment, government digital transformation, and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Matt Rodnie Matias, WOF Senior Consultant, expressed his immense excitement about this collaboration. “We’re going to have so much fun and we are going to learn together,” he emphasized. Mr. Matias also highlighted that this collaboration would be a journey filled with mutual development and understanding.

Meanwhile, TSU President Dr. Arnold Velasco shared the full commitment of the University in this collaboration with WOF. He stressed that the end goal of this partnership is to enhance the educational cooperation between the two institutions – enriching the overall academic experiences for both students and faculty members.

As the event drew to an end, Mr. Cris Delgado, WOF PH Director, revealed that TSU was the first institution they partnered with out of the 100 panels of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) they target to associate with by the end of the year.

Through this partnership, TSU and WOF set to empower faculty, students, and academic communities by integrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. This collaboration marks a major step in building future-ready institutions that champion educational innovation and excellence.
