Three Rohingya scholars of Tarlac State University (TSU) were formally introduced to the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) during a courtesy visit held at the Tarlac Provincial Capitol, where discussions on possible support and assistance for the students were also raised yesterday, May 7, 2026.

The meeting served as an opportunity for the scholars to share their educational journey and experiences as international students pursuing higher education in Tarlac. Discussions centered on their academic life, adjustment to the local community, and the challenges they encounter while studying far from their homeland.

During the visit, the scholars were asked about their respective courses, their current living conditions, and their future plans after completing their studies. They also shared their aspirations of using their education to contribute positively to their communities and create better opportunities for themselves and others in the future.

Representatives from TSU emphasized the importance of providing inclusive and accessible education to students from vulnerable and displaced communities. The courtesy visit also highlighted the value of collaboration between educational institutions and local government units in promoting humanitarian and educational initiatives.
