Tarlac State University (TSU) and the Kapisanan ng mga Filipinong Awtor at Manunulat sa Pilipinas, Inc. (KAFAMPI) forged a three-year partnership aimed at strengthening Filipino language education, advancing research initiatives, and expanding community-focused initiatives. The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on November 14, 2025, via Zoom.
Represented by TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco and KAFAMPI President William P. Nucasa, the agreement outlines shared commitments to organize national seminars, develop professional development activities, and support scholarly and creative outputs. KAFAMPI will lead the planning, logistics, and facilitation of seminar-workshops, while TSU will provide technical and administrative support, including securing necessary endorsements from agencies such as PASUC, DepEd, and CHED.
The collaboration also seeks to strengthen the academic and creative competencies of Filipino educators by promoting knowledge sharing and capacity-building efforts. Through joint activities and training programs, both institutions aim to foster a more dynamic learning environment and encourage the development of innovative teaching and research practices in Filipino.
Both institutions affirmed their dedication to enriching Filipino education and fostering stronger collaboration within the academic and creative sectors. The partnership will run from academic year 2025 to 2028.
