Tarlac State University (TSU) and Adapt-IP Inc. officially entered into a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on April 2, 2025, at the TSU Villa Lucinda Campus.
Adapt-IP Inc., a company specializing in electronics, was established in 2016 and operates primarily in Gerona, Tarlac. It is owned by Japanese national Engr. Makoto Hayashi.
“I am very pleased and excited about this partnership. Most of our employees and some of my Filipino colleagues are graduates of TSU. TSU graduates are smart and, most of all, hardworking. I’m actually looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience in Japanese engineering with TSU students,” Engr. Hayashi said.
Representing TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg expressed the university’s full support for the collaboration.
“TSU is even more delighted to have partnered with Adapt-IP. This partnership will greatly benefit our students by exposing them to engineering practices from Japan—a global leader in technology and engineering,” Dr. Macaraeg said.
The agreement opens various areas of collaboration, including internship programs, recruitment opportunities, career-education seminars, and faculty immersion.
Also present during the signing ceremony were Office of International Affairs and Linkages Director Dr. Grace N. Rosete, College of Engineering Dean Engr. Miriam S. Galvez, and Head of Career Education and Job Placement Services, Ms. Maria Victoria Mallari.
