TSU Hosts Hybrid Information Session on INTENSE Scholarship Opportunities for Spring 2027

Tarlac State University (TSU), through the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL), in collaboration with the INTENSE Program of INTACT Base Taiwan, conducted a hybrid information session on August 19, 2026, at the TSU Main Campus to discuss scholarship opportunities for the Spring 2027 intake.

Before the information session, the INTENSE Program delegation paid a courtesy visit to TSU President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza. The delegation also met with Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Dr. Niño B. Corpuz and Director of the Office of International Affairs and Linkages Dr. Ninez B. Tulo. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between TSU and the INTENSE Program and discuss opportunities for TSU students and graduates to pursue further studies in Taiwan.

The INTENSE delegation was led by Dr. Mike Chu, CEO of the INTENSE Program, together with Ms. Mercedes Joy Fojas, Philippine Project Manager.

The information session was intended for TSU alumni and fourth-year students from the College of Engineering, College of Computer Studies, and College of Industrial Technology who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in Taiwan. The speakers were at the TSU Main Campus, while students joined the session through Zoom.

Dr. Chu discussed the INTENSE scholarship opportunity for Spring 2027 and encouraged prospective applicants to consider international education as an opportunity for academic and professional growth. He also highlighted the benefits of gaining international experience, building connections, and preparing for future career opportunities.

The session also provided information about the scholarship program, opportunities available to qualified applicants, and the requirements and preparations for the application process.

Through this activity, TSU continues to strengthen its international partnerships and provide students and graduates with opportunities to pursue further studies abroad. The collaboration with the INTENSE Program of INTACT Base Taiwan gives the TSU academic community access to international education opportunities in Taiwan.
