BackTarlac State University (TSU), through the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL), presided over an exploratory meeting with Archipelago Education Consultancy Co. to discuss a potential partnership with Lakeland Unversity Japan on January 15, 2025.
Representing Archipelago Education Consultancy Co., CEO Mr. Dominic Archer introduced the proposed Archipelago Semester Abroad Program (ASAP) in collaboration with Lakeland University Japan (LUJ) in Tokyo. The program aims to provide TSU students with study-abroad opportunities at LUJ.
Additionally, Mr. Archer discussed a potential faculty exchange program at LUJ. Under this initiative, LUJ invites Filipino faculty members to study and conduct research at Lakeland University Japan (LU) with free accommodation in exchange for teaching their specialized subjects for one semester.
LUJ, through Mr. Archer, is particularly seeking TSU faculty members specializing in Arts, Communication, and Business Administration to participate in the exchange program.
The meeting concluded with both TSU and LUJ, through Archipelago Education Consultancy Co., agreeing to move forward with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the second quarter of the year.
