Tarlac State University (TSU) took a step toward strengthening its industry partnerships as officials from the College of Engineering (COE) and the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL) engaged in discussions with representatives of Moog Controls Corporation on June 24, 2026, at the COE Dean’s Office to explore collaboration opportunities in student internships, faculty immersion programs, job placements, and alumni engagement.
The meeting focused on establishing a possible partnership between TSU and Moog Controls Corporation, particularly in creating opportunities for student internships and on-the-job training (OJT) placements. Both parties also explored initiatives related to faculty immersion programs, which aim to provide educators with industry exposure and insights into current engineering practices and technologies.
The exploratory meeting also covered the possibility of sharing job postings and career opportunities with TSU students and graduates.
Leading the TSU delegation were COE Dean Engr. Miriam S. Galvez and OIAL Director Dr. Ninez B. Tulo, together with faculty members Engr. Renz Paul Quiambao, Engr. Stephen Immanuel E. Galang, Engr. Adam F. Rombaoa, Engr. Cid L. Lapuz, and Engr. Ann Jeannette S. Lopez. OIAL staff Cedrick O. Malicdem and COE staff Ryanne Santillan also attended the meeting.
On the other hand, representing Moog Controls Corporation were Sara Restura, APAC HR Lead; Norbyne P. Litaoen, HR Operations and Community Outreach Head; and Lorna B. Godoy, HR Head.
The exploratory discussion marks a significant step toward fostering stronger partnerships between TSU and industry leaders, opening avenues for experiential learning, professional development, and employment opportunities that will help prepare future engineers for the demands of the global workforce.
