TSU-CPAG Faculty Members Participate in Erasmus+ Faculty and Staff Exchange Program at Tarsus University, Türkiye

Tarlac State University–College of Public Administration and Governance (TSU-CPAG) Dean Edwin T. Caoleng and Associate Dean Patricia Ann D. Estrada participated in the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility (ICM) Programme at Tarsus University in Türkiye from July 19 to 26, 2026, as part of the University's continuing commitment to internationalization and global academic engagement.

The mobility forms part of the Erasmus+ Faculty and Staff Exchange Program, which promotes international collaboration through academic exchange, knowledge sharing, and the development of long-term institutional partnerships among higher education institutions.

During their week-long academic engagement, Dean Caoleng and Associate Dean Estrada served as guest lecturers, delivering lectures on Public Administration and Contemporary Government Models. Their presentations provided Tarsus University students and faculty members with insights into governance, public administration, and contemporary public sector practices, while fostering meaningful academic dialogue and the exchange of perspectives between the Philippines and Türkiye.

In addition to their teaching engagements, the TSU-CPAG representatives participated in a series of meetings with the Department of Political Science of Tarsus University. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for collaborative research, faculty and student mobility, joint academic initiatives, and other areas of institutional cooperation that will further strengthen the partnership between the two universities.

The July mobility represents the second phase of the Erasmus+ KA171 Faculty and Staff Exchange Program between Tarlac State University and Tarsus University. The first phase was successfully conducted from May 20 to 26, 2026, during which Ms. Özge Çekirge of Tarsus University visited Tarlac State University as part of the same exchange program. Her visit facilitated academic discussions, strengthened institutional linkages, and laid the groundwork for future collaborative initiatives between the two institutions.

Through reciprocal faculty exchanges such as these, both universities continue to promote intercultural understanding, academic excellence, and the internationalization of higher education. The Erasmus+ KA171 mobility program serves as a platform for sharing expertise, advancing research collaboration, and building sustainable global partnerships that benefit faculty members, students, and the broader academic community.
