Tarlac State University–College of Business and Accountancy (TSU-CBA) welcomed representatives from Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) on October 27, 2026, at the TSU Main Campus in Tarlac City for a benchmarking activity focused on the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrep) program.
The activity aimed to provide MMSU with insights into TSU-CBA’s best practices in program implementation, particularly in quality assurance and continuous improvement. The benchmarking also highlighted the practices and initiatives associated with the BS Entrepreneurship program’s Level IV accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
“Do not be shy to ask questions, and we won’t be shy to answer them. We would be more than happy to help and be part of our fellow state university’s endeavor to succeed,” said Dr. Derick S. Figueroa, dean of TSU-CBA.
As part of the activity, the BS Entrepreneurship program presented audio-visual presentations (AVPs) outlining the benchmarking agenda and showcasing relevant program initiatives and practices.
The presentations were followed by an open forum and an exchange of best practices, during which representatives from both universities discussed their respective approaches to research, instruction, extension, graduate performance, and linkages. The discussions provided an opportunity for both institutions to share experiences and explore strategies for strengthening program delivery and academic quality.
The activity concluded with a visit to the department’s laboratories and facilities, allowing the MMSU delegation to gain firsthand insights into the learning environment and resources supporting TSU-CBA’s BS Entrepreneurship program.
