Following the onsite visit of Daegu Haany University (DHU) to Tarlac State University (TSU), the Office of International Affairs and Linkages (OIAL), Office of Gender and Development (OGAD), and the College of Education - Department of Early Childhood Education (COEd-ECE) facilitated an exploratory meeting with the South Korean university on January 23, 2025.
TSU and DHU first established their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2024. This collaboration led to online activities, including international webinars for students, faculty exchange online lectures, and other academic engagements.
In January 2025, both institutions decided to advance their partnership with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). In line with TSU’s protocol for international partnerships, TSU-OIAL Director Dr. Grace N. Rosete met with Dr. Yoon Gabjung, Dean of the Department of Child Welfare & Counseling at DHU, to explore new areas of collaboration following the renewal of their partnership.
Both universities agreed to conduct cultural and academic exchange activities, research initiatives, and training programs in the future. Additionally, they discussed ways to further enhance the initiatives launched during their initial partnership.
