Ms. Özge Çekirge, the first visiting professor under the Erasmus+ KA171 Faculty/Staff Exchange Program at Tarlac State University (TSU), officially began her two-week academic engagement with the University on May 21, 2026 through a series of orientation and institutional familiarization activities at the College of Engineering (COE).
Çekirge was first introduced to the College of Engineering before being toured around the different department offices by Engr. Cid Lapuz, Internationalization Coordinator of COE, and Engr. Enalyn T. Domingo, Associate Dean of COE. The tour included visits to the offices of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, Civil Engineering Department, and Mechanical Engineering Department.
As part of the orientation, Çekirge also visited the COE Library, as well as the various laboratories and facilities of the College, where she was introduced to the University’s academic and research environment.
In the afternoon, she visited the Museo-Archivo Tarlaqueño to learn more about the rich history of both TSU and the Province of Tarlac. She was later introduced to the different offices at the University’s Main Campus as part of her institutional immersion under the Erasmus+ KA171 mobility program.
The two-week mobility program is expected to strengthen academic cooperation and intercultural exchange between Tarlac State University and Tarsus University through collaborative discussions, research engagements, and shared learning experiences under the Erasmus+ KA171 Faculty/Staff Exchange Program.
